Research Essay : What Effect Did Frederick Douglass Have on the Liberator Newspaper and What Contributions Did He Apply to It?

In the 19th century, William Garrison and Frederick Douglas, the liberators of black slaves, made Americans feel the need for slavery abolition in the hearts of Americans. Frederick Douglas was born in a farm in Talbot County, Maryland. His mother was a slave, and when Frederick was born, he became a slave. His birth date is Frederick Bailey. He did not know who his father is and did not know exactly his birth date. He later chose February 14 as a celebration for his birthday, presuming that he was born in 1818. About twelve years old, his master's wife, Sophia Old, began teaching Frederic letters. It was illegal to teach them to study slaves at that time, and when they found it, he prohibited his wife from continuing teaching Douglas. But Frederick is a clever young man who wants to learn to read. Over time, he secretly observed others and taught themselves to read and write by observing white children in their research.

Throughout the book, Frederick Douglas shows that he is independent. Young Frederic himself learns how to read. He was aided by a local children's book, but he himself taught himself, and unless he was independent, this was what he was unable to do. Douglas, born in Maryland slavery, eventually escaped and worked for many abolitionists. He also edited several newspapers. The most famous piece of Douglas is the story of the life of his autobiography, American slave Frederick Douglas, published in 1845. At that time, some critics attacked the book and did not believe that black men could write such eloquent pieces. Still, this book is a bestseller. One of the most famous writers is W.E.B. Du Bois (1868-1963), one of the first founder of NAACP. At the turn of the century, Dubois announced a collection of influential essays called "the souls of the black people".
