In this article we will analyze emergency medical services (EMS) dedicated to the participation of victims of traffic accidents in Medellin (Colombia). The motivation for this work is the dramatic increase in injuries caused by these events in the past few years. The project was developed in cooperation with the local government of Medellin. Analysis used several facility placement models to evaluate various improvement processes. The impact of the proposed countermeasure (a larger ambulance team and a different alternative for that location) is to reduce the number of unmanned areas, reduce the degree of congestion in the system, and consequently improve the quality. The result of the service analysis shows that it is important to increase the size of the ambulance team rather than changing the position at the fire department to improve the EMS service.
Another good example is Medellin in Colombia. It uses a new public participation model to deal with the very complex problems of urban crime and informal residents' settlements. As a newly developed engine, the city is also using the construction of transportation and transportation hubs including airborne ropeway and trolleybus. In addition, not a classical meaning, a library which is a community culture center was opened to promote the update of a specific community. The quality of the building in the library is very good, from the architectural point of view it symbolizes the attention, dedication, and the future of these fields.
