Representation in Music by Roger Scruton and Sound and Semblance by Peter Kivy

That is, 1) music does not represent things. 2) If possible, this performance has nothing to do with music rating.

In the 20th century, Peter Kivy, Jerrold Levinson, Roger Scruton, Stephen Davies made an important contribution. However, many musicians, music critics, and other non-philosophers have contributed to the aesthetics of music. In the 19th century, music critic, musicologist Eduard Hanslick and composer Richard Wagner made a big debate whether music could convey meaning. Other music scholars such as Harry Partch and Kyle Gann have tried to study and promote the use of non-music music and other musical scales. Many contemporary composers such as La Monte Young, Rhys Chatham, and Glenn Branca pay great attention to the scale called intonation.

As a supporter of conservative political philosophy, as an esthetician focusing on architecture and music, later as an element of Old England, and as a rural life, a festival of foxes and wines, Roger Skeleton is a self- I express myself. In his latest work, Scroton once again described himself a political philosopher. In the past, he was mocking herself as Mrs Thatcher.
