Religious Faith: An Invaluable Means to an End

Loyalty is an abstract concept, unlike love, we give great value to society, but it is not easy to identify why it deserves this value. Personally, there are more problems than defining beliefs, the reason for the leap of faith inherent in the concept of faith. For example, at least in the American community, from the very young age we are told that parents and colleagues should be loyal to the loyalty, but the way to prove acceptance of this belief is justified. Furthermore, loyalty to the whole is not absurd or unreasonable.

What is faith? Faith is different from everyone. If you ask one hundred different people, you may get many different answers. Religious beliefs and non-religious beliefs are two different terms. Faith has a very complex meaning when discussing in a religious context. Faith is a belief. This applies to all religious and non-religious people. All beliefs involve decisions. This is not what we claim to believe but what we really believe ... In our life we ​​can find use of faith as a foundation of knowledge. Whether it is belief in teacher advice, faith in God, or belief in scientific theory, it exists. But what is faith? The definition of beliefs based on the background of knowledge is confidence or trust of knowledge seekers, but there is no knowledge with solid evidence.

You may understand beliefs as purely religious terms, including "checking your brain at the doorway". Some people misunderstand that the faith means "to ignore all evidence". Faith is an important aspect of most religions, but faith is used outside of religion in many aspects of our lives. I will take skydiving as an example. When we jump off the plane, we may believe that the parachute allows us to safely reach the ground. This belief may be based on speaking with someone who has already completed it. Perhaps we have studied aerodynamics to understand how the parachute works. We might have floated out of the airplane and floated safely on the ground with a parachute.

Sam Harris' first book, the end of faith, caused a global debate about the effectiveness of religion. Later, Harris found that from religious fundamentalists to unbelievable scientists, most people agree that science does not address anything about human value subjects. In fact, being unable to solve meaning and ethical problems through science is now the most common reason for religious beliefs. This is also the main reason for feeling that so many secularists and religious moderators are obliged to "respect" the toughness of their more devout neighbors.
