The role of religion in Hamlet is well known and William Shakespeare does not obey or support any kind of religion. However, he obviously has received many religious education. In Shakespeare 's play' Hamlet 'he used his knowledge of religion and culture to manipulate the audience' s response to the original intention. This can be seen by observing the confusion of Queen Elizabeth 's religion, the use of conflicting culture to evoke the reaction of the audience, and the importance of Hamlet' s knowledge of Christians.
The tragic "Hamlet" is one of the most important plays in Shake Spear's play, and was published and played as part of the world literature rainbow. Research investigates the role of religion in Hamlet and attempts to provide a new interpretation of how religious beliefs affect people's motives. Text analysis indicates that Hamlet's social environment can accept metaphysical beliefs. Hamlet is basically more religious than his religious group; hence he is reluctant to take a stand against his father's murderer because he is afraid of becoming a sinner. This paper concludes that Christianity is the main influence on Hamlet, but playwright also uses purely rhetorical purpose for Greek religious symbols.
