Relations Between the United States and Japan Before September 1941

In 1960, the "Japan-US Cooperation Security Treaty" was signed.

In 1951, the two countries signed the "San Francisco Treaty" and the "Japan-US Security Treaty" and was later amended as the "Japan-US Cooperation Security Treaty" in 1960. Since then, the relationship is very good. The United States believes that Japan is one of the closest allies and is not only a major ally of NATO, it is also an ally of NATO. There are several military bases in Japan such as Yokosuka which owns the US 7th fleet in the United States. The SDF or the SDF carries out dating and training with the US military and in many cases provides auxiliary security and war games.

Today, 7th December 1941, 70 years ago, the Japanese Empire attacked the US Navy at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Europe has been immersed in World War II since September 1939, but the United States is not harmed, but it is partially engaged through their Lend-Lease program. In order to take preventive measures between 1940 July and December 1941, the troops increased from 291,000 to 16.55 million and at the same time employed 131,000 medical staff. This large pre-war mobilization was concentrated on Oahu, the largest island in Hawaii (as it is not yet a federal state).
