Related studies to consumers preferences for eco-labeled seafood

As is evident from literature review, the currently applicable control measures may not be enough to address the problem of overfishing and depletion of fishery resources in Malaysia. Developed countries recognized that at the end of the 20th century only traditional fishery management techniques could promote sustainable fishing and that focusing on suppliers alone might not be enough . Therefore, the partnership between industry and natural resource protectionists to achieve transformation of natural resource management makes it possible for new tools in the fishery, the fishery industry, to be responsible and carry out sustainable management It is an ecolabelling system.

Ecolabel is a powerful policy tool to achieve sustainable consumption. However, there are still many doubts as to how much ecolabel can contribute to sustainable work and how to maximize its effect. This paper examines evolutionary psychology, behavior and economics, normative theory to provide concrete insight into the design and implementation of ecolabel to increase the impact on sustainable consumer choices. This study suggests that ecolabels increase or increase consumer preferences for green products, thereby increasing the ecolabel impact on consumer behavior by expanding ecolabel beyond ecologically conscious consumers doing.
