The directory service hierarchy and the information stored in it tells you the overall picture of the network infrastructure. This is useful for authorized users and attackers on the network. An attacker can use the network resource information stored in the directory service to destroy the LDAP server in various ways, such as checking the network structure, resources, and potential targets. An attacker can obtain network information of victims sent via LDAP by eavesdropping.
