Refuting Objections to Direct Realism

When we perceive things, indirect realists insist that what we see is not the thing itself but a representation of things, and that the expression we see in our heads is perceptual data. There is a difference between direct realism and critical realism. Critical realism claims to have two stages to experience the world. The first realism is direct realism. Direct realism says what you see is what you get: What we experience through the senses accurately portrays the world. The second kind of realism is called critical realism. Critical realityists believe that what we experience is not the emotion, that is to say direct, but the image in the real world. Critical realists point out that our sense often deceives us. For example, when you watch international football and cricket matches on the next TV, you will see that the sponsor will advertise in a prominent position in the actual stadium. There are two forms of realism, direct realism and critical realism. Direct realism is an epistemological position, and what we get is that we draw the world accurately through what we experience (Saunders. M. et al, 2007). Another form is critical realism, which is also an epistemological position. We insist on the need to understand the difference of human role as a social actor.
