Refugees are those who fear persecution and have escaped their homeland, except for people who can not return for ethnicity, religion, political opinion, or for members of a particular social group. Interestingly, most people who are refugees are women and children. Since 1975, the United States has accepted more than 3 million refugees from all over the world.
Refugees as defined by the United Nations Refugee Organization (UNHCR) are refugees evacuated from their country due to persecution, war or violence. They are normally undergoing asylum in their country of entry and the refugee's name protects their human rights through international law and is entitled to multiple types of aid. Some companies have already strengthened their efforts. Starbucks promised to hire 10,000 refugees in 75 countries where the company is active in the next five years since the White House promised to ban Syrian refugees last year. Starbucks CEO Howard Schulz wrote to an employee,
Refugees are forced to escape from their country due to persecution, war, violence. Depending on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership of a particular social group, refugees have good reasons to fear persecution. In most cases, they can not go home or be afraid to do so. The main reasons refugees escape from their country are war and ethnicity, tribal and religious violence. Internally displaced persons or internally displaced persons have been forced to escape from their homes, but they have never crossed the border. These people are looking for safety anywhere nearby towns, schools, residences, camps, even forests and fields, wherever they can find. Internally displaced people, including refugees due to civil war and natural disasters, are the largest group under the aegis of UNHCR.
