Reflection of Community Service

In order to fulfill the 12 hour community service requirement of nutrition course 139, I applied for five organizations on an approved list. The fastest response to my organization is the open heart kitchen which is mainly operated in Pleasanton and Livermore area. Their application and registration shift process gives the impression that this organization is huge and many people really care about misfortune. By talking to the supervisor of the site and talking, I believe this organization relies on individual donations, small business donations, large corporate donations such as Safeway and Walmart.
