Why is this happening? Human beings use two types of thinking - intuition and reflection. Intuitive thinking is done automatically, it receives information quickly and instinctively. Reflex nervous system is slow and self-conscious. Participation takes time and effort. These systems do not conflict and work together. People are busy and life is so difficult that we can not think or analyze everything. In most cases, we use automatic systems without paying attention. Intuitive thinking works with spiritual shortcuts and thumb rules. These shortcuts are called heuristics, and usually involve focusing on one aspect of a complex problem, ignoring other aspects.

This book is made up of two parts. It is a dual idea that people use everyday (fast, intuitive primitives and slow logic), and an outstanding and practical collection of curiosity based on concepts. Despite the emotional and attractive psychological tendency, this is not easy to read

To understand Dewey as a pragmatist needs to evaluate many of our ideas about service learning, especially the role of introspection in it. In the philosophical tradition of pragmatism, there are four main concepts related to introspection practice in service learning. First, thinking and learning starts with uncertainty in ambiguous or suspicious circumstances. Second, the result of thinking is a behavioral habit of gentle doubt. Third, solving skeptical behavior can lead to spiritual customs leading to subsequent ideas. Fourth, the knowledge itself is productive. It brings observable results to our own life and behavior and beliefs in the psychological and social life of others.
