Reflecting on the Care of a Patient

The purpose of this patient care study is to discuss the care and care interventions that certain patients undergo during hospitalization in acute wards. The side of nursing that I chose to think is care of patients who need intestinal nutrition (ETF) due to difficulty in swallowing - difficult to swallow (Unison Health Care 1998). This type of nursing intervention is very important to the patient I care, I call it John. See Appendix 2 for John's past history. 6 days ago, John was hospitalized after CVA. He is undergoing ETF through the NG tube as immediate intervention and evaluates whether it is a suitable candidate for enteral endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube. . The length of the nasogastric tube is approximately 22 inches (Holmes 2004) and is inserted into the left nostril into the stomach through the pharynx, esophagus and heart's sphincter (Marieb 2001).

This article reflects my experience while taking care of patients. This article will give the definition of reflection. This reflexive article helps to demonstrate how my actual experience will help one of my learning outcomes in learning outcomes (Appendix 1). Driscoll (2000) is used as reflection model. In this article we will explore what (event description), what (analysis) and now (action plan). This article reflects the importance of good communication with patients.
