When analyzing what the driver should know for safe driving, it is not enough to rely on superior handling techniques. The driver must also have the willingness to act correctly and the experience needed to enable him or her to function properly. The driver also has to understand that the social environment affects what people can do, what they want to do, and what they can do as drivers. In order to make driving successful, each learner understands correct actions in various situations, contents that may influence behavior, how to make a way of thinking that can be evaluated in various situations, understanding driving and driving methods need to do it.
A skilled model (Table 11), including driver education goals (GDE), specifies what driver training should focus on to create the safest new driver 7. We have to make plans and have to make various choices to determine the best way to get to the destination and the driver must be able to handle the car in many different traffic situations . All of these must be done in a social environment that affects individual choice in a particular direction.
Understand / control life goals and personal preferences about ways to influence the driving behavior lifestyle / living situation group norms
Risk profiles are accepted if self improvement of risk is trying to comply with social pressure by promoting a high level of emotion
Self assessment / recognition of impulsive control of individual skills Risk tendency Safety Negative motivation
The model is built on the four levels shown in Figure 11. However, it extends to three columns, the knowledge and skills the driver has to master, the factors that increase the risk and the self-assessment that the driver must know. The knowledge and skills the driver has to learn are focused on the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to drive a car and communicate the driver to where he wants. The risk increasing factor that the driver must pay attention is a factor that can influence the danger of collision and injury which always exists during driving. Self-assessment focuses on the ability of individual drivers to accurately assess their knowledge and skills. The main principle here is self-evaluation on driving and travel. These four levels are combined with knowledge in three areas that directly lead to different driving skills. Together they will determine the level of skill that the driver needs to drive safely. Table 11 shows examples of skills included in the GDE matrix.
Airbags are passive safety devices designed to reduce or prevent injuries to drivers and passengers during a collision. The airbag further protects the seatbelt. For example, at the time of a high-speed collision, it is impossible to prevent the head of the driver's seat from striking the steering column with another seat belt. The deployment of the airbag protects the driver's head and upper body and alleviates some of the force that the seat belt exerts on the driver. The airbag is a heavy-duty cloth bag that folds and hides behind the various parts in the car. Many vehicles in Canada have a driver's seat airbag on the steering column and a passenger airbag on the dashboard. In recent vehicles, side airbags can be equipped on the inner panel, roof and door. When sufficient collision occurs to cause deployment of the airbag, a signal is sent from the airbag sensor to the small ignition device to force the airbag to leave the module to fill the airbag.
The first airbag was designed for the driver and is familiar to most people. In the event of a head-on collision, the trunk of the steering wheel will be turned off to prevent the driver from hitting the steering wheel. As these baggage alone reduced the number of crashes at the front end by 30% and the injuries decreased, the lawyers of car accidents were very upset. An airbag explosion can save your life, but it also causes damage and can rarely cause death. It is necessary for the US airbag to explode with enough power so that you can catch the driver who is not wearing the seatbelt and keep it safe. However, this means that the restrained driver may be hit hard by a safety device. Facial bruise, bruised and broken nose is not unheard of
