Reconciling Ingrained Traditions with Newly Emerging Christianity

Before the 8th century, Britain was a pagan society and Britain was born of idolatry and polytheistic society. The combination of Beowulf's Christian and heathen elements is consistent with the religious attitude of Bede's British church history. Beowulf wrote about Medieval Scandinavia, a very pagan society, but the talker tells stories in the medieval Anglo-Saxon UK timeframe.

A story takes place when Christianity is the era of Britain's new religion. Beowulf is a connection between the two traditions of Pagan and Christian. Throughout the book there are obvious references to Christianity and pagan rituals. Epic characters are Christians newly discovered to try to continue to be faithful to new beliefs but to be weak. Book heathen ceremonies are usually reflected only in the past or most disturbed period. Otherwise, in happiness and joy, they will worship their only, full-strength, Christian god.

Emerging Christians are the focus of our research project, but the traditional evangelical church needs to know what emerging Christians will give up. Emerging Christians expressed dissatisfaction with the traditional evangelical church. Most of the people we meet, leaders, and parishes have a background of evangelical churches. For most people, experience is negative. The view of the evangelical church in this section is the view of emerging Christians. Whether or not they are "accurate" is not important in many ways. The obvious fact is that they are the reason for many emerging Christians to abandon the traditional expression of the evangelical church and choose to participate in other forms of church life. In addition, the refusal of their traditional evangelical church itself is not a rejection of evangelism but a rejection of the traditional North American version of the late 20th century.
