Whether it is a religious or social problem, some parents do not consider mainstream education to be suitable for their children. One of the problems that many parents have in secular public schools is the attitude of these schools to self-development. Many schools have mainly adopted a self-development model based on self-esteem. There, students are taught to maintain a positive self-image regardless of their grades. Catholic schools give up this approach and head towards a personal development model that encourages students to pursue independent interests while maintaining high test scores.

Catholic schools are known for their strict discipline policy. The era of corporal punishment has gone, but the Catholic school still strictly adheres to the policy of punishing serious misconduct. Catholic schools encourage their students to achieve high maturity and conscientious attitudes by teaching children to be responsible for their behavior.

This type of education is not for everyone but it may be the right choice for Catholic parents in hopes that their children will be rooted in traditional moral values.

I studied the majority of my life at the Catholic school. I attended Catholic K - 12 school in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and in 2004 graduated from West Catholic High School. I got a doctor's degree.
