In the story, Rin wrote how reading habits can remove people from the "direct world". Amazing books can bring people to different countries and times; they can overcome space and time constraints. In addition, people do not need to read "realistic value" of artistic work. Furthermore, it is not as important as enjoying reading. Do not take your own purpose during reading.

I agree very much with Lynn 's opinion that reading should not be considered to be able to improve himself when people start reading. In fact, this type of reading torture the reader and does not benefit the reader. I am suffering from this condition. When I was in elementary school second grade my literature teacher told me to read some books as I help improve my sentences. Then I learned that I am not interested in these books at all. Finally, after reading all the books I requested, I forgot most of them. So it certainly can not help me to improve my sentences. In another case, I can remember almost everything when I like what I read.

Lin Yutang helped to rediscover why I read books. It is more than just judging important facts and everyday information. I read deep seeds, evoke the soul and stimulate the mind. When I was young, I woke up to the pleasures of reading and spent days in the local postal library, but the other children were roaming near. The library is my church, reading is my religion. After reading Lin Yutang's article on the importance of life, I feel that I am a reborn reader.

At the beginning of this article, Yutang began talking about the reading psychology of a person and the difference between a person not reading - an introduction of reading art. Lin tells us his opinion is very cautious and how small a person does not read that his life is in a series of customs. Rin stated that he was only watching what happened near him, he was impressed (90). Representing a fundamental perspective like the heart of a reader frequently may be dangerous to the author as compared to the hearts of those who have not read it. I mean "it may be very dangerous" that he is easily misunderstood by the reader. In the adventure of the forest adventure, in my opinion he achieved his goal. From the first paragraph, he pulled my attention and expressed my personal disagreement at that time.
