Reaching My Students Through Real World Experiences

Exposing my students to high school teachers through real-world experience faces the challenge of preparing for the real world. Students are not merely sharp but need preparation in the real world. Students in contact with me need to establish a reassuring relationship and feeling of security within the classroom. Sharing my personal experience and other people's testimony can be an effective incentive for nurturing college students for real life. My role as a teacher is to communicate many obstacles facing college students.

Summer internships are often used by students to gain real world experience. Google's open source office offers opportunities for college students aged 18 or over through the Google Summer of Code program (GSOC). This program began in May 2005 and has been a leader since 2011. I applied for GSOC in 2010. I just graduated from medical school and joined the OpenMRS open source community as a developer. We delayed our medical internship and I was looking for ways to improve my skills to fill my time. I contribute to the organization I want to work and earn money, so I decided to participate in GSOC with OpenMRS.
