Ragged Dick by Horatio Alger

Horatio Alger's irregular dick Ragged Dick is a novel written by Horatio Alger in the 1800's. This is a story about a little boy named Richard Hunter, also known as Ragged Dick. Ragged Dick is a typical story of Rags to Riches and Dick is suffering from urban life difficulties in trying to achieve "American Dream". As a child, Dick is a poor city boy who is going to earn money on the streets of New York. He spends time cleaning his shoes for workers and earns only 10 cents per pair.
