Racial Rhetoric

In the 1950s, the civil rights movement will ignite and the blacks will unite under the philosophy of equality for all. When blacks fought for their rights white resistance began to form. White resistance has various forms from social violence to political manipulation. In the southern community like Greensboro, a new form of white resistance called 'progressive mystery' emerged. "Mystery of progress" allows a community like Greensboro to "maintain a progressive liberal racial rhetoric and a conservative discriminatory racial order".

As mentioned earlier, most of the racial rhetoric is shaped by a southern strategy based on race, code language, racial discrimination. This development took place concurrently with the rise of religious fundamentalists in the 1960s. In the late 1960s, some major players such as Jerry Falwell and Paul Weyrich appeared in the form of religious leaders of Phyllis Schafly and Southern. The core of this rise is "the rational response of traditional religious people to social, political and economic change, the reduction and limitation of the role of religion in the public world." This leads us to the latest anger movement, # BlackLivesMatter. #BlackLivesMatter The entire campaign began after trial by Trayvon Martin's George Zimmerman. Last year the situation was even more notorious when an unarmed black boy Michael Brown was hit by a white policeman and caused a riot at Ferguson. The aim is to draw attention to the increase in black-based violence by police authorities throughout the country. I personally agree that this is an area of ​​concern and needs to be addressed. However, I need to say that not all # BLACKLivesMatter people. It is completely different.
