Queen Victoria

In the late nineteenth century the United Kingdom prospered. Under the guidance of Queen Victoria, this is an era of innovation and progress. Prince Albert became the most powerful ally of Queen Victoria and helped navigate the harsh political waters.

In 1836, Queen Victoria's uncle Leopold and her first cousin's nephew, Prince Albert of Sachsen Coburg visited England. Shortly thereafter, Queen Victoria wrote in Leopold, likes Prince Albert whenever possible. After a while Victoria wrote these words, Leopold tried to combine the two. In 1839, Prince Albert was about to travel to the UK again. And it strained Queen Victoria very tense. He arrived in the UK court on October 10. Only five days later Queen Victoria proposed to him and he accepted it. They married on February 10, 1840.
