Quaid-i-Azam University (Urdu: جامعگقائداعیم; QAU) is a public research university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. [3]

Founded in 1967 as Islamabad University, initially devoted to graduate school education, it was expanded to include interdisciplinary universities offering postgraduate and graduate education in the 1980s.
