Purpose of the NASW Code of Ethics

The NASW Code of Ethics is intended as a guide to the day-to-day occupational behavior of social workers. This Code consists of four parts.

Part 2 "Purpose of the NASW Code of Ethics" outlines the main functions of the Code and a simple guide to dealing with ethical issues or dilemmas in the practice of social work.
