Student union is an organization supervised by students and supervised by adults. The purpose of the Student Council is to provide students with opportunities to train leadership skills by planning and implementing activities and services at school. In addition to planning activities that contribute to school spirit and community well-being, the student council is a spokesperson for student groups. The graduate school council founded in 1995 is a student union for graduate students and specialized students at Texas A & M University. This is a council representing all graduate students of TAMU, with the aim of improving the student life and social experience of graduate students. The focus of the GSC representing the students is to collaborate with university managerial positions. In the leisure sports department, we offer unattended entertainment, in-campus sports, sports clubs, indoor rock climbing, strength training, fitness classes, outdoor adventure, water sports classes and more. The Rec Sports Facility includes Flagship Student Entertainment Center, renovated and expanded, extending the facility to approximately 400,000 square feet, Pool, Penberthy Rec Sports Center, and Omar Smith Teaching Tennis Center.
