Piccadero of Puerto Rico: Seafurit flavored beef. It is optimum as a combination with rice and for stuffing with peppers, green peppers, tacos etc. (It is very popular with Cuban cuisine and Latin American cuisine)
My Puerto Rico recipe series will continue. Today there are 2 recipes. The first one is Piccadero of Puerto Rico. This is a hash of the ground beef.
Picadillo can be used as a substitute for rice, Papas Rellenas (another Puerto Rican favorite), or Tacos (please do not tell Mexican grandma).
Here it functions as salty meat. They made their own delicious green salads as friends of Puerto Rican cuisine and reheated the breakfast the next morning!
Oh, I even even eat them cold! They are very tasty soaked in Mayo ketchup - ternary miracle sauce
This recipe uses some of the ingredients in Puerto Rico: sofrito, ketchup, olives. Sofrito is the base of most Puerto Rican cuisine and tomatoes. Sweet peppers are also very common in olives, it really adds a lot of salty taste.
This recipe is using prefabricated Empanada fabric / package that can be found in the frozen section of the Spanish supermarket.
