This course will explain and analyze the development of American public policy from the colonial era to the present, centering on the post-civil era. For the purposes of this course, public policy is defined as the development of regulations and laws and its implementation by the government: 1) failure to achieve desirable outcomes by responding to private officials (ie markets); 2 ) We are trying to achieve a specific normative vision of how the coordinating society of the market affecting its outcome should be.
