Thought is a national PTA art contest for students of K - 12 grade. PTA membership does not require input, thought plan is the advantage of participating in school with PTA. Students must enter the local PTA with the same qualification to participate. A local PTA can (but is not required to) accept the admission requirements of a student who does not attend a particular school (ie, a student at a home school or a student at a school without a PTA).

Thought promotes creativity, it is an art competition. As with all competitions, there are guidelines, rules and deadlines. The National PTA requires that State PTA send final review level entries based on specific rules and guidelines. The WSPTA requires that entries submitted at the state level comply with the same rules and guidelines as those required in the national PTA. On the local PTA level, you can accept and reward entries that do not meet the rules and guidelines. However, do not send entries to the next level that does not meet the rules or guidelines.
