There is contradiction in all stories. Conflict is a disagreement that usually provides conspiracy against the story. Conflict is the foundation of all other content in literary works. Usually, people read stories and see how to solve them by evolving contradictions. As already pointed out, this article covers psychological conflicts. In the magnificent story of JRR Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings", there are many psychological conflicts that are interwoven together.
