Protecting the Great Barrier Reef Dugong

Protecting the Confucian dugong (Dugong dugon) is exactly the only oceanic herbivorous animal, the only existing species in the Dugongidae family. The characteristic dugong weighs about 400 kilograms and its length is 3 meters (Stonehouse, 1992). Through its triangular whale tail, it can easily be distinguished from Sirenia. A manila, another member of Sylynia, has a unique paddle type tail which lives in rivers and estuaries. Like a manatee, the dugong has a thick layer of greasy, giving them a clearly rounded posture, placing a small paddling finger and a wide and flat tail in front of the body.

New Caledonia's barrier reef and atoll are one of the three most extensive coral reef systems in the world, along with Fiji's coral reefs, are the most important coral reefs in Oceania. They are the world's most diverse collection of coral reef structures based on 146 world classification systems that are comparable to or even higher than the much larger Great Barrier Reef in terms of coral reef and fish diversity. They offer the habitat of many endangered fish, sea turtles and marine mammals including the world's third largest dugong population.

Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system. Coral reefs are located in the coral ocean, and most coral reefs are protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Special environmental pressures include surface runoff, salinity variation, climate change, explosions of annular thorns, overfishing, spillage and inadequate discharge of ballast water. Climate change is the most important environmental threat to the Great Barrier Reef, according to the Australian Government 's Great Barrier Reef Oceanic Parks Bureau (GBRMPA) in 2014.

In Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Bureau and is subject to many laws including the Biodiversity Action Plan. Australia has developed a coral reef recovery action plan. This plan includes an adaptive management strategy including reduction of carbon dioxide emissions. The public awareness program provides education on "sea rainforests" and how people can reduce carbon emissions. Residents of Papua New Guinea, Manus Oahu continued generations of practice and restricted fishing in six areas of the lagoon lagoon.
