Always having happiness is the key to finding life. Happiness is the ability to fill human life with joy and success. In "Death of Salesman", "Great Gatsby", "Defender of the Devil", the hero of the movie seems to be anxious for happiness and success. Success may be the ultimate goal to achieve happiness, but that does not always lead us. People have to overcome many obstacles, sometimes happiness is not enough for some people. That is why I believe that more people enjoy life and that as many people as possible should live.
Everyone dreams of making them happy, but now they are not. In Fitzgerald's "Great Gatsby" and Miller's "The Death of a Salesman", both Willy Lohman and Gatsby are those who destroy American dreams. Their dreams come from past illusions. These dreams are made outside of their real people. While Willy tried to create a new past, Gatsby tried to repeat his past. Lack of control over their goals and dreams
In the death of The Great Gastby and the salesman, the hero's Willy Loman and Jay Gatsby feel that if you are so popular, your dream will come true. In the play, salesman Willy 's death feels that if he is very popular he will succeed. Willie worships Dave Singleman who was 94 years old and succeeded as a salesman. Dave Singleman feels that he was able to complete the salesman's life and succeed in it. When Dave Singleman died he died of the death of a salesman. He was a very popular salesman, so many people attended his funeral. When I felt that Willy was very popular, I felt he was satisfied and self satisfied. Willie said, "America is full of beautiful towns and excellent and respectable people, they know, boys, they know me up and down in New England, the best people" (31). When Willie feels better, he feels he wants him and feels that he can achieve his goals. Unfortunately, his wish is to be loved, which only happens in his dreams.
Arthur Miller painted a salesman named Willy Loman. In the face of suffering and worry, Willy interprets it to lead to his unhappy result. In tragic "death of salesman", the fatal flaw of the hero's Willie Roman was that he was unable to confront his cruel pride and reality, which led to his death. This novel is a story about the tragedy of Willy Lohman's life. Tragedy is a "serious drama" depicting "confrontation" between the hero and "dominant power", which ultimately brings "miserable" and "pity." (Meriyam Webster) Since the hero is a person filled with unrealistic hope and dream and it will die, the death of a salesman is a tragedy. Although this story depicts a tragedy, I think that Willy Lohman is trying to find an unsuccessful optimisticism.
