Social media changed the world. Communication is no longer the same. This is evident in both corporate and individual social media. Companies build communities and raise awareness using social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The education system also uses social media tools in the classroom, and now plays an important role in many schools and universities. However, proper planning is necessary to ensure that these tools are effectively managed in the classroom.

Many articles and research are investigating the influence of social media on interpersonal relationships in daily life of people. Instead, what I would like to discuss here is the strengths and weaknesses of using social media as a learning tool in the academic field. Specifically, I will explain briefly the advantages and disadvantages of using Twitter at lectures and seminars, using my personal experience at media school of economics media and communication graduate students. By promoting interaction and dialogue among people participating in the same event, we discovered that someone likes tweets and recommends reposting, encouraging people to continue online and offline lectures

It has advantages and disadvantages. The latter depends on the student himself, what purpose he / she uses, and what purpose it is used for. Many students use social media as a bridge of communication, but this communication can be negative or positive.
