Pros and Cons of Different Fields in Social Work

Bachelor of Human Services enters my career in social work. The field of social work is not new. SimonPatten created the term social worker in 1900 (Robert 1995). In this field, my research includes literature on how to participate in social work and the type of work of social worker. For the purpose of this review, I will concentrate my research on the current information in 2008. The topics I learned included studies of positive and negative factors in various areas of social work.

The historical evolution of the social work field has given people a variety of perspectives on how diagnostic practices fit the occupation of social work. I will discuss and analyze discussions on diagnosis and label disputes in the field of social work and how it fits into views based on the advantages of empowerment. To do this, after criticizing various aspects, we outline the pros and cons of the diagnosis and link it to the main point of view.

In the field of social work, experts can pursue and concentrate on various occupations and industries. Empathy, flexibility, perseverance, respect for various environments, social workers need to use skills and knowledge to do the job as efficiently as possible. Social workers can be asked to help solve problems directly caused by trauma, disability, family environment, abuse, mental and emotional problems, poisoning, and acute, chronic, or terminal disease Yes. Some social workers have an intention to concentrate their skills in specific areas by entering a specific field.

As a field, social work tends to attract people who want to change the lives of others. Therefore, social work can also be a very profitable occupation. Especially social workers help many people. However, social work is also a field that is intensely exhausted, especially at the emotional level. In most areas, including social work, the vast majority of your income potential is related to your specific role. Likewise, even though the skill and workload are the same, there are several positions with high salaries, but others are in a position with fewer positions. These differences are usually caused by the balance between supply and demand.
