Promotion and Development of Small and Medium Enterprises in Egypt

Given the global economic crisis linked directly to the decline in direct investment, the Egyptian government is very active in promoting Egyptian small and medium enterprises next year. According to a recent market survey, in Egypt, small and medium-sized enterprises account for 80% of GDP and 75% of employment. These efforts began in the past few years, during which the 2004 Small Business Development Law No. 141 was issued.

In 2005, the Small and Medium Industry Development Organization (SMIDO) merged with the National Handicrafts Development Agency (NHPA), and the Small and Medium Enterprise Crafts Development Bureau (SEHDA) was founded. The purpose of the merger is to streamline and optimize the use of dedicated resources in the small business division of Mauritius. The new law of the SMEDA Act of 2009 is the latest development in the policy framework for Mauritius SMEs. SMEDA will promote the development and growth of small and medium enterprises in Mauritius. SMEDA will help potential and existing SMEs to start new businesses.

The Small and Medium Scale Industrial Development Organization (SMIDO) was a sub-state institution established under SMIDO in 1993 and is a major support organization for SMEs in Mauritius. Its purpose is to promote the growth and development of SMEs. "Small and medium-sized enterprises are defined as follows." Manufacturers using production facilities whose total production facility value is less than 10 rupees. "Production refers to conversion, conversion of raw materials, repair of semi-finished products, packaging and assembly of finished products." Production equipment "refers to machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process."

Small and medium enterprises provide funds and promote economic growth, so it is an important factor in the development of industry in all developing countries. But in developing countries, SMEs have to face many problems. SMEs hire approximately 60% of the labor force in the private sector and are making an important contribution to innovation and development. It is not only to support the growth of the region and the country. Many factors have contributed to the growth of small and medium enterprises. In all of these countries, the possibility of financing is the most important factor in playing an important role in its development. The government supports small and medium-sized enterprises to obtain smooth and uninterrupted funding processes, but still time and effort is still required to develop.
