As in many parts of the world in Africa, adolescent reproductive health is a controversial issue for policy makers and program planners. Young people are particularly vulnerable to many other issues such as HIV, AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, dangerous abortions, sexual abuse, female genital excision, dangerous circumcision. However, in many countries there is no need for adolescent health policy, there are more needs to make adolescent young people receive appropriate sexual and reproductive health services.
