This article outlines progressive education. Progressive education is part of a larger social movement that began in the early 20 th century. Contradictory views are occasionally raised under progressive tabs but it is difficult to define the whole movement as a whole. Today 's progressive education is closely related to John Dewey' s work. John Dewey is often called the United States' largest philosopher of the 20th century, the curriculum should be dependent in part on children's interests, education should meet the needs of the whole child, and the school prepares the students I believe that should help. Let's participate in democracy. Importantly, he believes that progressive education will help to build a more equal society. Progressiveism was the dominant form of education through the 20th century, but it has declined since most of the support since the 1980s.

Progressive education is a sort of educational movement that adopts many principles of active learning which has been in various forms beginning in the late 19th century and now. The term "progress" is used to distinguish this type of education from traditional European and American curriculums of the 19th century. This arises from the strong distinction between the classical preparation of the university and the social class. Progressive education is based on current experience

For 30 years, the principle of the progressive education association and the progressive education movement "fundamentally change the flow of education in the United States" (Little, 2013). However, in the 1950s, "due to conservative political change, this movement was unpopular with American educational institutions" (Little, 2013). Indeed, when John Dewey died in 1952, he insisted that it was pessimistic about the impact of progressiveism and that it could not penetrate the foundation of American educational institutions (Hayes, 2007). At that time he might have been his hardest critic, but he will soon join criticism. In the past decade, traditionalists accused intelligents against progressive educators and insisted on returning to mathematics, science, history, and the basics of English. Their fears are mainly caused by the Cold War, which will dominate the foreign policy of the United States in the coming decades.
