Product Development Section: 2018 Call for Essays

The Actuarial Association (SOA) product development (PD) department has published a 2018 paper on the future of wearable technology in life insurance.

The PD Sector Council is looking for an actuary that is keen on product development. In order to help shape or inspire ideas about products in our industry, the Board of Directors will hold periodic PD competitions to explore different product dilemmas. There is no correct or wrong answer, but the best articles may appear in future product issues. It is eligible for every reputable SOA member. Race competition will be in the form of articles. The content must be 500 words or more, 2000 words or less, in English. Award-winning ideas and articles judged by the PD Sector Council will be posted in the future journal "product issues" and approved by the author.

Every reputable SOA member can join. Depending on the quality of entry, one to three winners will be selected 1. Entry work is judged based on its creativity, originality, and applicability to the subject of the essay. They need to be sent to sections@soa.org by 11:59 pm on May 25, 2018.

By submitting one paper you can confirm the ownership of the article and agree to provide a license to the Actuary Association to include your articles in product issues.
