We gathered oral data from 16 musicians and 6 sound engineers from various countries and backgrounds. Participants were asked to freely define the role of ideal producer and ideal sound engineer in my language. Then we encourage them to explain the positive or negative experiences they have encountered before in the studio. We use certain comparative methods to classify those spontaneous descriptions as new topics.
