Producing a Still Life Using Soft Pastels

Soft and delicate color (adjective); soft brushed stick combining finely ground pigment and gum adhesive (noun). Pastel color sticks generally apply to textured paper support. Crayons are rod-shaped coatings consisting of pure powder pigment and binder. Pigments used for pastels are the same as those used to make all color art media including paints, with binders having neutral colors and low chroma. Pastel color effect is closer to natural dry pigment than any other process. Since the surface of the pastel is fragile and easily contaminated, it needs to be protected for preservation under the glass frame, etc. It is also possible to blow a fixing agent. Nevertheless, soft paintings may be made for many centuries when made with permanent pigments and properly maintained. For cracks and discolorations caused by the color, opacity or dimensional change of the medium as it is dried, the pastel is not readily affected by coatings of fluid media.

I recently started using a clear colored pencil, the Faber-Castell Pitt brand. The same method applies. However, since this pencil is very soft and soft it can not be maintained even if it is sharp. But this is a good thing. When I use a soft pencil, I usually want to smear a little. When sketching gestures and short gestures of 5-10 minutes, I liked using red and brown porcelain markers. I polished it and opened the paper around the wax wire. Again, at the art school, we learned to paint with porcelain like a wonderful illustrator. China marker (I do not know why this name is called) is very interesting and creates a nice line. I like to use red and brown tones. Because these colors are usually the basic color of organic materials.
