Discussion at elementary school was founded in Ireland in 2011. Its purpose is to promote discussion as a learning tool of high school and elementary school curriculum. Since then it has become stronger; last year it involved over 200 schools in Ireland.

The ongoing debate develops mainly on gender and school education. This discussion has been going on for decades, the main question is whether men and women should go to school together - or should they be divided into their own schools. Advantages and disadvantages of schools with mixed gender (most public schools, etc.) are as follows. There are many natural human experiences between men and women. Dating is a typical example of this. Starting at a young age certainly is not appropriate, but at the right age and maturity these natural human experiences are necessary and beneficial to both sides.
