As outlined in the previous article, the marketing destination is different from tangible product marketing. This is for consumers to go to their destinations and experience all that these destinations offer. These experiences are often related to specific emotional reactions that become powerful tools when marketing destinations. Using emotions you can sell goods and experiences from the early days of marketing, but once you find the main feelings associated with consumers, you can incorporate them into every element of the content strategy. By using an emotion-oriented positive language, it is more likely that you get a strong response from the user and follow it to the most important sales.

This is a general situation. You just arrived in Japan (or a new destination) and wanted to start exploring, but it is still premature to check in at your hotel or Airbnb. Or, the checkout time in the previous place is an unhappy moment at 10 am, but your transport does not start until late in that day. Talk about big headache! Most first-time travelers are among the most difficult tasks to know how to handle baggage. Hotel check-in in Japan usually starts around 3 pm to 4 pm, but there are several places where you can drop your bags first. This is often the least painful option, but because of its location (even if it forgets it) it is usually very inconvenient.

Getting to the destination is still a problem for sustainable travelers. In our previous newsletter, we discussed an airline partnership that formed a sustainable aviation fuel user group to promote the development and commercialization of sustainable aviation biofuels. Choosing one of the airlines using biofuels is the beginning. Sustainable flight is not an option, but you can limit emissions by choosing a direct flight that the aircraft does not stop as it uses the bulk of the fuel during takeoff. A good expedition will minimize emissions if you can reach the destination by car.
