Preserving a Country's National Identity

In many countries around the world, one of the main concerns is the issue of national identity. The spread of globalization and all its impacts exacerbate this concern. In the era of today's globalization, the characteristics of national identity have declined and helped to become more global. Technological development in various fields, especially mass communication technology, has transformed the world into a village of the world. Therefore, maintaining the national identity of the country is a dilemma for many governments.

National Geopolitical Identity The geopolitical identity of the people is a collective identity that represents the collective external existence of a country or nation state. A national geopolitical identity can be an expression if it is a foreign policy of a country - or a national state. A nation state can choose to formulate a foreign policy that represents the interests of that economic state. For example, the United States has a protectionist foreign policy to protect its industry. However, the geopolitical identity of the country is not only related to foreign policy. What is the economic situation in each country? Because each country can express policies like domestic and foreign policies, the actions of state governments express collective policies. National nationals can express group policies internally - domestic policy - or external - foreign policy. The outcome of domestic and foreign economic policy, that is, collective policy, represents the unique combination and execution of wealth each country possesses. What is wealth? Also, how does it contribute to the wealth of the country? Wealth can easily explain that you have the necessary land, labor and capital to participate in an industrialized society. All of these three countries are necessary for rich countries, and unless the nation state can sufficiently purchase these three countries, it will not be possible to realize industrialization sufficiently.

The national state aims to guarantee the existence of the state, maintain its unique identity, and to provide an area where national culture and spirit dominate. Nationalism is also a national philosophy. It believes that a nation state is necessary for every country: Separatist national movement often complains about their secondary status as a minority in other countries. Specific views on the responsibility of this country will in many cases influence the introduction of national education system, teaching standard courses, national cultural policy, and national language policy. In other words, the nation state justifies its existence and demands the myth of national culture and history to give political justification - tacit acceptance of the population in government authority
