The old Civilization of Colombia has prosperous for thousands of years before the Europeans reached the New World. Empires such as Aztec, Maya, Inca lived in a vast area of Latin America. Before Columbus and Cortez were born, the three major powers dominated the land. The civilization before the Columbus and the Europeans had similar ideas, but the life of the New World was very different from the medieval life in Europe. There are three major civilizations in the New World: Aztecs, Maya, Incas.
Excellent cultural accomplishments of civilizations before Colombia are often compared to the cultural achievements of old world civilizations. For example, the ancient Mayan calendar exceeds the European Julian calendar with accuracy. This shows exceptional knowledge of Mayan astronomy and mathematics. Equally impressive is the Inca calendar and the complexity of its highway construction, the development of Maya's complex writing system, and the spectacular temple of Aztec. Unfortunately, archaeological discoveries and written documents do not reveal the education of Maya, Aztecs and Incas very much. However, as can be seen from the available documents, these pre-Colombian civilizations are clearly formal education for raising nobility and pastors. The main objectives of education are cultural protection, vocational training, moral and personality training, and cultural deviation management.
