Power is a very dangerous obsession because it erodes many people. Since the Hitler and Napoleonic times, the power of corrupt individuals has always existed, but due to advanced technology and personal financial desire, it is now the worst. Muammar Gaddafi is a perfect example of an individual who was destroyed by power. Libyan tyrant Muammar Gaddafi used power to shock the world. William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth" shows another good example of how power can erode individuals.
