Power Corrupts

Power is a very dangerous obsession because it erodes many people. Since the Hitler and Napoleonic times, the power of corrupt individuals has always existed, but due to advanced technology and personal financial desire, it is now the worst. Muammar Gaddafi is a perfect example of an individual who was destroyed by power. Libyan tyrant Muammar Gaddafi used power to shock the world. William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth" shows another good example of how power can erode individuals.

Destruction of Power Throughout the history of mankind, rulers and philosophers have proved the destruction of power. British historian Sir Acton said, "Power tends to corrupt; absolute power is absolutely corrupt." Sir Acton 's remarks were confirmed by the behavior of Charles I and rulers such as Hitler of England.
