Postmodernism: The Movement in Life

The postmodern movement has not started in the United States, but much of its impact has influenced the culture of the country. Postmodernism takes America from a place with strong value that it is right and wrong, to a place blessed with validity and value idea. By suggesting a new worldview, postmodern influences American literature, both writers and readers, and large American culture. Describing postmoderns is very rewarding as it has no real meaning beyond Merriam-Webster.

Postmodernism, according to the nature of the movement itself, is not easy to define. In order to understand postmodern in the context of adult learning it is useful first to understand that postmodern movement is much bigger than adult learning. It includes various fields and research fields including arts, architecture, music, movies, literature, sociology, communication, fashion, technology and education (Klages, 2003). Since postmodern is a philosophical movement and also a learning theory, it is impossible to discuss this movement without discussing the philosophy underlying the postmodern movement and the universality.

Postmodern music is either postmodern music or music that follows the aesthetic and philosophical trend of modernism. As its name suggests, the formation of a post-modern movement is a response to the ideals of modernism.
