These broad questions will give a momentum to the work of this course. "Communication and Popular Culture" will introduce American pop culture focusing on its shape, information, and the impact on society. First of all, we use the four major methodological approaches adopted by communication research scholars as a means for students to master key skills and to understand the text of pop culture more carefully. Next, think about how pop culture is formed and reflects American history and culture. Finally, we investigated gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class expression from the 20th century to the present, and investigated the importance for popular culture consumers.
