Individual growth through education and ideal employment has strengthened our national economy. The social problem of our country is also contributing to the problem of insufficient education. In the survey of October 2013, the Southern Education Foundation reported that "All states have experienced poverty since 2000," and currently has "affecting nearly half of the US public school students". (Spark, Parameters 1, 2) There are many poverty in this country, including rural areas and cities. Some of these areas are full of criminal organizations and violent groups.

In particular, urban schools seem to be involved in poor education. They have 24% of US public school students, 35% of poor students, and 43% of minority students. The respected publication "Education Weekly" announced a large-scale survey on urban education last year. "It is impossible for most fourth grade students living in U.S. cities to read and understand simple children's books, and the eighth grade can not solve actual problems using arithmetic" Over four years, more than half of the students in big cities can not complete high school, and many final graduates are not prepared for higher education or work.

Educational failures are the core of cyclical poverty and can not be solved without other things. Education, the foundation of child growth and adult success, is an integral part of intellectual, emotional and physical development. However, millions of children are caught up in a broken system each year, losing hope for a rich and rich life. As Stand Together is seeking the most effective solution to poverty, we are seeking innovative educational solutions that provide the necessary support for children to get the opportunity they deserve . These solutions include scholarships, mentoring and after school programs to provide a better future for children.

People born in low-income households fall into vicious circle of the poor in most cases. Because of low income, parents can not provide childcare conditions and quality education for their children. In Thailand, the educational system is particularly strict and repressive. Do not teach the children to think or ask about teachers. They are often suppressed by the authorities and their ideals. Somkid worked hard and helped mothers sell noodles at night while continuing their studies. Eventually, he joined the army. Now he's a driver who lives with his wife and two children next to his parents. The two children attended the same school he did and aimed to become the next Som kids.
