These changes are physicochemical or biological properties of the air or water of the land and can endanger human life and other living things. The main cause of environmental pollution, such as population explosion, rapid industrial deforestation, unplanned urbanization, technology advancement. Nearly 35% of India's total land area is affected by serious environmental pollution. Three quarters of the earth is made of water, but drinking water is scarce. In India, the water sources are rivers and lakes, wells are contaminated and not suitable for drinking. Due to the increased use of chemical fertilizers, oceanic and marine rivers have been contaminated with harmful pollutants.
Environmental pollution is the harmful pollutants are taken into the environment and interfere with natural processes and circulation. Various kinds of environmental pollution are classified as water pollution, air pollution, land contamination and noise pollution. Large scale production of solid and liquid waste from the industry, emission of harmful gases, deforestation, global warming, and further human problems are the main reasons for increasing environmental pollution. Over the past decade, the level of environmental pollution has increased dramatically, the situation has deteriorated more than before.
