There is not enough staff in the library to continuously monitor children or act on behalf of their parents.

Unattended or destructive children can cause problems for themselves and other people. Even older children, if they are alone, become hungry, distracted or frightened. In general, children under the age of 12 should not be left anywhere in the library.
