In our society today, the African-American community loses great trust and respect for the mayor, the police chief, and N.Y.P.D. It is very sad. The shoot of Amadou Diallo is very dissatisfied with the African American community. The shooting incident shocked a lot of people because the armed innocent black man was shot at the door of the house by four officers who he thought were rapists. Amadou Diallo is a black man living in a dark residential area and watching four people in the middle of the night.
Many Americans will remember the tragic attack of Amadou Diallo at the age of 22 in 1999. Diallo is an African immigrant who was tracked to his apartment by four white police officers at the New York Police Station who thought he was in doubt. Diallo entered his building to recover his wallet (which may indicate identity, the police insisted that they shot him 41 times, thinking that the wallet is a weapon. He was armed with I did not have any criminal record). According to this survey, African Americans in New York were intercepted six times more frequently than Caucasians, while blacks were found to be less likely to have drugs that could lead to arrest than Caucasians. Excessive use of force is often a feature of the police brutality, sometimes leading to the death of the victim. These events, such as the shooting of Amadou Diallo in 1999 (23 years old), are occasionally attracting mass media attention. The investigators shot Dialo 19 times while hurried to the wallet. The police launched 41 bullets and murdered Diallo, but despite being innocent of all atrocities, that case (and other similar events) is still noteworthy. Victims of police brutality may suffer from psychological effects and obstacles. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a pain that may cause a panic attack, depression, substance abuse or suicidality. The police brutality does not guarantee that someone will develop post-traumatic stress disorder, but it seems more likely. One factor that makes post-traumatic stress disorder more susceptible is whether other people such as police or prison guards caused trauma.
