Poe's The Black Cat as Gothic Literature

When reading Edgar Allan Poe's "Black Cat" you can almost immediately feel the darkness of the work and the nature of the darkness. This short story full of mystery, death, and supernatural possibilities is a work of Gothic literature. Gothic literature includes scenes such as at least serious tones, ruins, castles and dark, depressing environments, dungeons, underpasses, cellars, cellars, shadows, moonlight in the dark, sparkling candlelight. Edgar Allan Poe's story, "Black Cat" includes a hero, a narrator, gradually yields to evil. The narrator hid the oppressed evil heart freed by the existence of his two mysterious black cats. Throughout the story, Poe uses several literary methods to explain immoral thoughts and behavior of narrator. That is due to the relationship with these cats.
